Ronnie Simpson has been a sailing writer for more than a decade. Writing his first race recap articles in 2010 for Latitude 38, Ronnie has gone on to cover the sport, and write about it, all around the world and for a number of outlets. With over 100 articles in print and multiple hundreds online, Ronnie has written for outlets such as Sailing World, Cruising World, Latitude 38, Sailing Anarchy, Good Old Boat, Tourism Fiji and more. He has also covered a variety of regattas around the world and written the official press releases, daily news articles, post-race recaps and more. Due to his primary location on the west coast of the USA and Hawaii, Ronnie has covered a number of Hawaii races and is currently Media Manager for the Pacific Cup Yacht Race. In recent years, he has made the transition to full-blown media man and has been covering regattas through video while still generally handling the writing duties for the organization. Ronnie is proud to be a 5-time Boating Writers International annual award winner and a Contributing Editor to Cruising World magazine. As of this writing in 2022, Ronnie is working on his first book; a history of record-breaking sailing multihulls and the sailors who sail them.
